Ted Merritt and Eileen Miller, members of the Spring Street Gallery, will provide an opportunity for young people ages 4-10, accompanied by an adult, to create a masterpiece work of art for display on the Spring Street Gallery walls. Painting will take place starting at 9 – 10:30 am on Tues. Aug. 16, 2022 and finish with a hanging ceremony at 10:30—11 am, where all new paintings on display are available for purchase. Painting will take place outdoors or indoors, depending on the weather. Both Merritt and Miller are experienced instructors and painters with a specialty in color and abstraction. Young painters will be asked to paint as suggested by their own instinct. Each painter will create an 11x14 acrylic matted painting protected by a transparent acrylic envelope. Adults will be invited to create their own works of art using the same materials. The experience is guaranteed to be a no-stress, fun-oriented chance to become a master painter.

*Acrylic paint does not like to come off clothes, so painting attire is suggested.

Fee: $45/each, $20 island residents, scholarships available.
